New Years Day 2009

One year ago today, my wife and I were on the last day of a 6-day stay in Ashland, Oregon. I started up a blog to write about it last January, but only just finished it a few days ago. Yeesh!

For those who care to check it out, go here.

Some of the highlights included my wife getting frisked, staying in a hotel straight out of the 1920's, and being asleep as 2008 turned to '09. A Brit who read the account called me "garrulous", a word I had to look up as I didn't know the meaning of it.

Wishing you all the best for '10!!

Given to excessive and often trivial or rambling talk; tiresomely talkative... I had to look it up myself.

Happy New Year!

Okay, so I didn't read every word but I skimmed over your story. Interesting and funny (especially the part about laughing a fraction of a second before everyone else)!
Once, I was at a restaurant with my family and this woman walked by then stopped suddenly, turned around, walked over to me, touched my arm and said, "You are a beautiful woman and your children are beautiful too, I just had to tell you that." and then she put her hands together, bowed, and walked away. Then my husband smirked and said, "Well, I guess that made your day." (it did) HAHA! She was probably at that retreat with you.

Thanks, Rocket.

Dave, I am not even remotely garrulous in real life. Quite the opposite, actually.

Dawn, thanks for checking out what I wrote. It's amazing how impactful one's words can have on another. Such power we have to turn someone's bad day into a grand one.

Happy New Year Tommy!! You look different...maybe it's the angle of your face? The bright reflection of the mirror??

Thanks, Mags! Great to see you. My face may look a bit different because it's a reverse image (since it was taken in the mirror). Or maybe I was just blissed out.

Small, thanks for stopping by and for checking my adventure in Oregon out. Looking forward to new posts from you later this month!
