Change is Coming (One Way or the Other)

History is made in Denver.

McCain to his newly minted running mate: "You're hot. Wanna shag?"

This also put a smile on my face today.

Oh, come on, Sarah. She's a lifelong member of the NRA!

Just kidding.

I'm looking forward to seeing Biden chew her up and spit her out during their debate.

A lifelong member of the NRA, staunch supporter for the oil industry, and social Conservative. What a great way to promote progressive change in America. They're so infatuated with oil, I'm beginning to wonder if they'll begin having it spew out of their rectums.

Obama's speech and that event last night will be something that I'm sure I'll never see again in my lifetime. It was truly uplifting and visionary. Let's get this debate on with McCain.

I don't get their hard-on for oil, either.

I was happy to read that 38 million tuned in to see the speech which was even more than the Olympic opening ceremonies drew a few weeks back.

Well the Olympics are boring.

I hate election years.

Dawn, I agree with you on the Olympics. During the 2 weeks they were on, I only viewed a half hour (it just so happened to be the half hour in which Phelps beat that dude swimming by 1/100th of a second). But many people love it which is why 35 million watched the opening ceremonies 3 weeks ago.

I also will be relieved when election season is over (just over 2 months from now).

Obama nailed his speech, I figured he would. After Bush anyone that can complete a sentence would be refreshing so to hear someone like Obama was indeed historic.

McCain sure surprised me. Biden was a great pick for Obama but Palin...

I think Obama has this and has for a while but Palin is a great move by McCain. He just got back and energized his base while attracting attention to his campaign. The hurricane is just good luck for the Republicans, Bush and Cheney are ducking out of the RNC.

So now people will watch McCain and Bush/Cheney wont attend. His base is behind him now.

I think it was a fantastic choice, anyone else and McCain would have lost in a landslide after Obamas speech.

I still think Obama will win though.

Just think...Bush will not be the president when we watch the super bowl next year.

Its almost over....

Tim, McCain surprised me as well. There was talk of him possibly picking a woman, but to see it actually occur was more than I expected. For the first time in U.S. history, there will either be a woman or a black man serving in the Oval Office.

I agree with you that Bush not speaking at the convention is a good thing for the Republicans.

I'm looking forward to hearing McCain's big speech on Thursday as well as Palin's on Wednesday.

I still wish Obama picked Hillary but I understand why he did not. Biden is a good choice but just think of a black man and a woman winning...

Thats history.

Tim, how about if Obama had chosen Condelicious? A brotha AND a sista! Black power!!
