In the late 90's, I went with my significant other to quite a few romantic comedies-women's movies-chick flicks. At that point in time, I didn't have much familiarity with the genre, so what were probably cliches' didn't seem so to me. Some of my favorites were "My Best Friend's Wedding", "Jerry Maguire", "You've Got Mail", and "Runaway Bride". I even enjoyed a few of them in the early '00's: "Erin Brockovich", Legally Blonde", and "Bridget Jones's Diary".
After a while, though, the formulaicness of them caught up with me and now I only go to female-centric films that have something new to offer. I feel the same about Testosterone-Action movies: "Transformers", "Transporter 2", pretty much any film that starts with "Trans".
With that in mind, watch below as three of the players from "He's Just Not That Into You" act out ten Chick Flick Cliches':

Good stuff Thomas. As long as no Trans-Gender movie titles come along, I'm with you. :)
I'm looking forward to The Watchman. I watched SlumDog Millionaire and The Wrestler via OVGuide.com. If you want to watch some movies, check out OVGuide and search for the movie you want to see. They give you links and hook you up. Free & no downloads. I know you're a movie buff, so wanted to make sure you knew about it.
Thanks for the link, Brian. "Slumdog Millionaire" was the last movie I paid to see before finding out about sites like OVGuide. Since "Wall-e" (my favorite movie of 2008) wasn't nominated for Best Pic, I'll be rooting for "Slumdog" to take the prize Sunday night.
The wife and her friend went to see this new movie and she says it IS a chick flick.
