Please God, Make The Roads Impassable

Last night, while watching "Ghost Hunters International", I took a look at the weather forecast for today. I was quite surprised to see that we were due to get at least 6 inches. I'm working in the evenings this week and got a bit excited thinking that perhaps (God willing) the roads would be too treacherous to traverse. I felt like I was back in my grade school days, hoping that the next day would be a snow one. I didn't want to get my hopes up too much, though. There's nothing worse than expecting something and then not seeing it come to pass.

Late this morning, the sun was out and there were no signs of a coming storm. My Pomeranian was barking at the garbage trucks, par for the course for her on Thursdays. A little after noon, it became overcast and about 45 minutes ago, we started getting some freezing rain. A few minutes ago, I heard the thunder roll, a weird experience in Minnesota in February. A good deal of regional evening activities have already been canceled. Will God be on my side like he was when Obama was elected late last year? Time will tell.

Holy shiznet! I just got off the phone and was told that my office will not be open this evening. Yippee! I can watch "Survivor" without taping it and maybe even go to Friday's!!! Life is grand!!

My office is closing at 3 today. Can't say I'm too sad about that.

And I thought those of us in SC were the only ones to close down for snow/ice...

You lucky bastard. Oh, how I miss those snow days. Not only is it peaceful to see that white blanket over the land and ice hanging off branches, it's grand when you hear school and business closings on T.V. Throw a snowball at a Conservative for me up there.

That's really great! I hope you enjoyed your time off!

Yeah! I hope you enjoyed your night off! We listen to Minneapolis radio during the day and can't believe the temperatures you are having. When we got a couple of inches of snow earlier in the week, everything stopped and it was BIG NEWS! Ha! Nothing compared to what you experience all winter long.

So how's it looking for this Thursday night? Will you be watching survivor live or ... taped?

Rocket, nice to hear you're getting multiple uses out of it (I utilized the thing at least 6 or 7 times last month).

Randy, from what I hear, Vegas is the same way.

Sil, I had quite a good time (went out to Friday's and then browsed Best Buy for about an hour).

Small, I shall be watching it taped this evening, same for "The Office".

Good to see you back online Tom, was wondering where you have been!

Hey, Tim. My brief sabbatical was unintended (I didn't have much on my mind this past week that was blog worthy). I do plan to post something in the next day or two.

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.
