Strong Sexual Content

Last weekend, I went to Kevin Smith's new one, "Zach & Miri Make a Porno". More graphic than I was expecting (one of the females starring in the porno is constipated, use your imagination on what happened), but very funny, nonetheless. Here's the trailer if you're not familiar with the film:

As the credits rolled, most of the audience got up to leave. I stayed. This is something I've done for years, especially for comedies. In many cases, an extra 20 seconds to 2 minutes of footage can be seen at the very end (after all the credits have rolled). Even if there turns out to be nothing else, I like waiting for the crowd to disperse before exiting and enjoy hearing some of the film's music without any dialogue running over it.

For "Zach & Miri", the credits rolled for about 100 seconds before stopping completely. A 2-minute scene then ran. I nodded my head. Near the front, I noticed another group had elected to stay. Guess I'm not the only smart one.

i high-tailed it out of harold and kumar escape from guantanamo bay so quickly that i missed one of these "post-script" scenes that had a major revelation. that'll teach me!

of course that was a horrible movie to attend with a relatively new love interest and i think we were both so uncomfortable that there wasn't anything to do but bolt.

I like some of Kevin Smith's work: Clerks and Mallrats. Honestly, I don't know much about this new one. From the trailer and your revelation a character in the film is constipated, it sounds pretty funny. How would you rate this one?

I used to do it years and then stopped because most movies stopped the extra fun....then Iron Man clip with Sam Jackson came and I missed the SHIELD clip. Now I stay and that movie looks funny as shit and K.Smith is back on his game !! Also I have Chasing Lanes on the way, I'll let you know if you were right T. Peace brother!

Rocket, go for it.

Sarah, quite right. There are some movies that one shouldn't go to with a new love. One of my favorite parts of Harold 2 was when Bush was talking to them and said, "They thought you were terrorizers?"

Melvin, I've heard of that series. I'll have to check it out. Thanks.

PJ, it's a very funny movie. Not as amusing as "40-Year Old Virgin" or "Borat", but better than the recently released "Nick & Norah".

King, Smith really does a good job with the material and at least a few of the words aren't 4-letter ones. Looking forward to getting your reax on "Lanes".

I still haven't seen this. I've loved Kevin Smith since Mallrats. Can't wait to see this. Now I know to stick around after the credits.
