Dreams
I had a dream recently that I was stuck in some big house where the people weren't very nice. I then did something that I tend to do from time to time in such situations. I flailed my arms and, as I did so, I literally rose above that neighborhood and went to a more pleasant place. Through dreams, I've been able to connect with those who have passed on. I believe that dreams shed much light on what life is actually like on the other side (time and space as we know it does not exist in dreams, for one thing). What if dreams more accurately reflect the true nature of reality than our day-to-day lives do? In that case, our "dreams" would be more "real" than our waking lives.

I'm not sure if you've already read it and that's where this post came from, by my friend Kyra just posted something on dreams the other day. She's The 108 on my blogroll if you are interested...
No, I wasn't aware of her post. I'll check it out. Thanks, Mags.
Now, wouldn't that be something? If our dreams were the "real" and our awake the "fake"?
I swear, I would just love to know every single detail about how the human body does it's magic. So much of it doesn't seem possible. It's crazy!
the108, fascinating reading on time, space, and ultimate reality can be found here:

When I first read the info at the above link, it blew my freakin' mind!
The one question I have though, is if one can't control thier action swithin their dreams, how can it be "real"? What would the point of reality be if one could not control their own actions?
That's a good question, Rocket. I would say that after you leave your body when you *gulp* die, things are even more hyper-real than in dreams and that you become aware of your "powers" through trial and error (you think of a place and then are instantly there, for example). It's what many people who've experienced NDE's have said. I would, therefore, say that when you pass on, it feels even more real than dreams because a lot of people who "come back" change their life because of what happened to them which might not occur if they thought what they had experienced was merely a dream.
thomas,
"that you become aware of your "powers" through trial and error (you think of a place and then are instantly there, for example)."
-- I love that, I want the power to persuade people, jedi mind tricks.
"It's what many people who've experienced NDE's have said."
-- NDE's, I haven't quite got onto the NDE band wagon yet. Here is how I understand NDE's. As the mind slowly shuts down as we die, there is no way tell dream state from a waking state.
Yeah, NDE's are quite interesting and there are many theories about them. I recently read an article dealing with the "brain dying" one:

Check it out.
Oh that's deep...
