Change

I usually carry about 30 dollars of cash on me at all times. I typically use the money for when I go out to fast-food eateries such as Wendy's, Taco John's, or Godfather's Pizza. The moolah also comes in handy if I want to pick up a greeting card or a jar of my favorite lip balm, Carmex. Inevitably, I will get change back from these transactions. I'll hold onto quarters, but I get rid of dimes, nickels, and pennies as fast as possible. Wendy's and Godfather's have small containers, for donations, by their registers. Without fail, I put all my small change in there. If there is no such thing nearby, then upon leaving the store, I drop (or throw) it on the ground. I could put it into the 2-foot Pepsi bank bottle we have at home, but this way, I know a small smile will come to the face of kids (and adults) as they excitedly pick up this "found" money minutes later.

My old boss does this ALL of the time.

He's easily thrown out thousands of dollars over the years, but he always smiles and says, "Think about how happy you are when you find change on the ground."

He even throws the quarters.

That is actually a very thoughtful thing to do. I like to put strange objects in public places to make people wonder about them and to see if anyone picks them up. Like, a photograph of a bare ass or something.

But yours is much nicer :-)

Thanks, Kyra. And thank you for posting a pic of your feet this morning (it will come in quite useful for me this weekend).

LOL, you should totally get a tax break on all that change you donate. Too bad those places don't give our receipts.

I really must ask you this since you reference my feet so often:

Is it MY feet or just feet in general? And if it my feet you crave, what exactly makes them so desirable???

Kyra, I'm not as big on feet as you might believe. It's just that I always see yours when you post a comment and you posted a fresh pic of them today. I was just talkin' about what happened to be on my mind.

Have a great weekend, all!

Again, I like the way you approach life; throwing change for kids to find later is very cool.

Throwing change? We call that litterin'

Some poor crow probably saw one too many shiny pennies and his nest fell out of the tree from the weight of it.

"nest breaker" (:>)

What the heck is Taco John's?

I vote for a CHANGE of a post.

I miss you. Come back to me.

Social, Taco John's is a fast food eatery similar to Taco Bell, but better in my opinion (John's food seems less processed).

Mags, I missed you, too. Hope today's post satisfied you somewhat.
