Supercade

I grew up during the golden age of arcade games (1978-1983). Below are some of my favorites. I'm not even gonna name them. If you're interested in finding out more about the top 100 arcade games of all time, go here.

One time I stole a few quarters from my mom's purse (something I had never done before) to play this:

One evening in '83 at the local pizza place, I made it to the 6th screen of the game pictured below. You wouldn't believe how fast the ghosts moved.

I played this one at the roller rink.

I played these two games at the mall arcade (it was called The Electric Rainbow):

Oh lord... I had forgotten about these games. Pacman and Donkey Kong were my two most favorites. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.

Have a good weekend.

Thank you, 108! High-five!! I really appreciate getting the Thinking Blogger Award from you.

Here is what Kyra had to say about me:

"Thomas's Minnesota Meanderings: Thomas is my type of guy and he'll be your type of guy, too. His mind is a never ending pool of information and he is willing to share every single ounce of it with his readers. He takes the time to observe life and absorb every minute of it and when he writes about it you fully understand that he is a superhuman. Thomas is one of those great people who makes you want to be around him all of the time. He's extremely intelligent and thoughtful, empathetic and honest. Just reading his blog makes you feel like you have found a friend for life. And.... you will want to marry him and have his babies. Because he's THAT awesome."

Wah-wah-wee-wah! Now that I'm an award winner, who wants to touch me?

Goddamn it! Who wants to touch me??!!

Hi - I came over from The 108...

I totally forgot about the elevator one, I can't remember the name, but it was the first shot 'em dead game I remember!

And who can forget the great times with Donkey Kong, I loved the memories!

Well..... I def want to touch you. If there was a "I really want to touch this guy" award, you'd have it hands down.

:-)

ec, that game is called Elevator Action. The first one pictured is my all-time favorite ("Gyruss").

108, you would also be the winner of any such award (I'd go for your feet first) :P

Mags, Pizza Hut sounds good to me as well. That stuff makes my tummy go yummy!

My son loves Pole Position (no jokes please), Ms. PacMan and Dig Dug. I love watching him play. Personally I'm into the original Nintendo games - Adventure Island II kicks my ass.
